Analyst

The Treasury Board Secretariat is the management board of the Federal public service, as a program analyst, my role includes:
o Briefing senior management on new funding proposals, and funding renewal that require approval from Treasury Board (TB Submissions).
o Provide ‘single-window’ service to federal departments that require policy advice on the labyrinth of management policies including but not limited to internal audit, performance measurement, long-term capital plans, human resource etc.
o Liasing with departments to ensure policy compliance with the above TB policies.
o Liaising with other central agencies including the Department of Finance and the Privy Councils Office.
o Other areas I've been involved in includes: Analysing reprofile requests and leading the supplementary estimates for my division.
Policy Analyst
Centre of Excellence for Evaluation, Treasury Board Secretariat (Government of Canada)
September 2008 – June 2010 (1 year 10 months)
As the Federal Government’s policy centre responsible for Program Evaluations across government, my role included:
o Monitoring the quality of evaluation reports for federal departments under my responsibility
o Providing policy advice to federal departments and within the Treasury Board Secretariat
o Liaising and networking with federal departments, program evaluators, management consultants and other stakeholders
o Maintaining strong relationships with senior management from departments under my responsibility and management consultants
o Developed systematic tools to track government-wide spending related to program evaluations
o Participated in inter-departmental working groups
o Led presentations to audiences within and outside of government

o Worked with internal clients within IBM, often under difficult circumstances.

Glendon College Student Union
October 2005 – May 2006 (8 months)
Elected in Oct 2005 By-election (Spring Election resulted in a draw)
• Spokesperson for the student union to the media, the public and the student body;
• Drafted and Implemented the ‘Official Poster Policy’. This exercise included; a public consultation as well as input from clubs and bilingual representatives from the Glendon administration and tabling the policy at council;
• General administrative duties including; availability during office hours, answering questions in regards to student rights and supporting campus clubs on club by-laws.

Glendon Liberals - Young Liberals of Canada (York University)
September 2003 – September 2005 (2 years 1 month)
• My primary role was to lead a campus organization of up to 70 active members.
• As President, I was the ex-officio Chair of the organizations executive committee.
• I led fund raising initiatives that brought the organization out of debt and into a surplus position throughout my term.
• Organized key-note speaker events that included guests such as the former Defence Minister, the Ontario Minister of Transportation.
• Led delegates to Liberal Leadership and Policy conventions.
• The most significant event I led was entitled the Public Transit Round-Table, which included guest-speakers
